A historical plant were almost ignored when plant scientists started exploring a classic African tribal solution. Kanna, because they called it, turned out to be an incredibly powerful feeling enhancement. What was more wonderful was that it wasn't addictive or habit-forming.

Way back ever sold, long before Jan van Riebeeck appeared in South Africa, when rogue gatherer tribes roamed the Karoo desert, this small ground cover plant was employed by the Hottentot or San tribes to deal with stress. It's since been identified as Sceletium tortuosum. It's in-fact an indigenous vykie (Mysembrianthemum) which expands under the protective color of any plant o-r bush that has was able to survive the hard conditions of the dry Karroo.

What pressure, you might well ask? Well, take to trotting across the hot desert sands for a handful of times with only several fruits, beginnings and the peculiar rat to eat and you'll begin to genuinely believe that probably, these pleased, calm people should have had a solution or two, perhaps not only on simple survival, but on how to take it easy.

The plant was greatly revered. They'd only assemble it in April, just before the cold winter approached. They knew never to ruin the complete plant and could simply choose a few divisions of each of the little tasty ground cover plants. When needed they would chew this dried plant matter and experience a feeling of goodwill and benevolence. And being an extra advantage it'd stave off feelings of hunger within the long hikes looking for food.
