See you all soon! Snuggles and spanks!
= 06-20-13 UPDATE EMAIL =
KK snuggleyfucks,
Here is another email screaming "Read me! I'm important! Life Will Not Go On If You Don't Read Me".
Honestly, though, this is an important update on what is going. I suggest that you take off all your clothing, grab a drink, and make this an intimate and sensual read. Or just read this damn email and pay attention so that you dont get left in the dust wondering where your camp went.
1) Camp is Full at this time - My friends, our Camp is currently full. This means that we are not accepting any new people. However, as people may drop out, I would be open to accepting "that really awesome friend of mine who is not a sparkledonkey, I swear, and will be great and loves costumes and will have sex with everyone in camp in the span of under one hour". So bottom line, we are full, but let me know if there is someone that you thing NEEDS to be in the camp. I will let you cry if I say no. For a little bit at least.
2) Camp Meetings - Thank you everyone for coming out last night, and for continuing to show up. The Meetings are important. Its important to meet everyone and be a part of the group. If you live outside of New York, I am sorry to hear that. You can, however, participate in the Skype meetings which I hear are actually quite lively and entertaining. You will just miss the visual when I remove my pants the next time.
3) Communication  - Again, there are three places you need to be. This Google Group, the Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/475873862471524/)  and the wiki (http://wiki.kostumekult.com/index.php/KKBM13). Information is being added and sent out on all those places. AGAIN, IF YOU ARE NOT ON ALL THREE OF THOSE, GOD MAY SMOTE YOU. Let me know though, and I will add you, and save your pathetic little self for utter death and destruction.
4) RVs in the Camp  - We are finalizing power and the RV services, and so we really need to know ASAP who intends on bringing an RV so that we can make sure that we map it and include it in the power needs and servicing needs. RVs that are added very late in the game will be a lot more expensive, because if they cause us to have to add services last minute we will have to charge the late addition RV the entire cost that we pay for the added services. Trust me, just get onboard now and make sure that I am aware of who has an RV.
5) Camp Dues and RV Fees - You can pay your dues and RV Fees now, through the online link or via check/cash to me in person. All the details on dues are here: http://wiki.kostumekult.com/index.php/Camp_Dues_2013. Just know one thing - Dues have to be paid by July 19th, or they are subject to a $50 late fee. Each RV has to pay only one RV fee, it is up to the people in the RV to figure out how to deal with that among themselves.
6) NYC Container - For those lucky freakks living in the NY area, there is a container which goes to Burning Man and you can purchase space on it to ship your stuff. Container has rules on their website. Read them and know them. ALSO, container sells out within an hour or so. So get on that shit when it goes on sale. As a heads up, you will need to start thinking very soon about what items you want to ship on the container and what
BASIC INFO FROM CONTAINER CAMP:
Container space will remain $6.75 per cubic foot. (that's cubic foot, not square foot)
We will be loading in at our usual spot in Jersey City on August 10. That's right, we roll on Shabbos.
Space will go on sale AFTER PEX. Sometime that week. I will let you know when. But we usually sell out within the first day. It's first come, first served. No refunds.
There are lots of rules and regulations. Again, I'll let you know when the website is updated. You will be responsible for all information on how to pack, etc. But the basics are still up from last year.
Remember -- we are volunteers. We are not professional movers. We are community members. We are very, very mean. :)
Website: http://www.nyccontainer.com/
7) Shade Structures - By now you probably got the idea that you need shade over your tent. You have two choices: (a) plant a tree, water it, wait for it to grow, cuddle it through the winter, lick its leaves when they get covered in playa dust, and hope that it gets large enough to cover your tent someday or (b) build a fucking shade structure that doesnt suck. I highly recommend choice (b). In the event that you choose wisely and pick (b), you will be coordinating with your pod to build a shade structure. If your pod is clueless and needs help, check out the wiki shade structure page here (outdated but hey, older is more legal in most states): http://wiki.kostumekult.com/index.php/Shade_Structure_Info. If you are still lost, let me know and I will try and get you some mentoring and helpful advice. And no, you cannot move into my tent just because  your shade sucks. Most of you cant at least.
8) PODS - Pods are forming really nicely. Its cool to see. I know you will all love each other. If anyone does not have a pod, you really need to get on that. If you are lost, let me know and I will try and match you up with a pod that has space. But let me know soon please.
9) FREAKKSHOW HELP NEEDED - Friends, FreaKKshow is our last fundraiser before the burn, and if you want our camp to be able to afford all the nice things we promised you, we need this event to be a success. KNOW AND UNDERSTAND, that these fundraisers cover a VERY significant portion of camp expenses. Our team is killing themselves to try and make the camp on playa amazing, but it leaves us stretched a bit thin for FreaKKshow. SO, WE NEED ALL OF YOU! EVERY ONE OF YOU! Please, step forward and volunteer to make FreaKKshow an amazing event. This event is really in danger of not happening unless we get more volunteers. and if it doesnt happen, things will be bad. Really bad. You dont want to know how bad. so just get in touch with me and tell me how eager you are to help. And then we can be friends. Deal?
10) Upcoming Events - things are happening. Here are a few of the things that you may want to know about
Mermaid Parade with Kostume Kult - Saturday June 22 - https://www.facebook.com/events/427483910684337/
Zhenya Sexy Russian Woman Memorial - MONDAY, JUNE 24th, 7-11 pm at XL Nightclub (512 W. 42nd Street, NYC, Free)
FreaKKshow - details coming soon! I hope!

5-29-13 INFORMATION UPDATE

Hey everyone! Im super excited to see you all tomorrow night at the Camp Meeting (Thursday 5/30 at Madame X, 6:30 PM start time, meeting starts around 7:30 - Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/events/345034742286633/)

I just wanted to update everyone on what has been happening with the plans for our amazing camp, and get you all up to speed on various things. This email is a bit long, but I know that you like it that way, so be nice and read it all and dont get tired and give up before completion. If you have not done so yet, please make sure that you fill out the form at the link posted below with all your camp plans.

1) Introductions - we have a thread going on this list for people to introduce themselves and tell everyone a little bit about who they are, etc. Please chime in if you have not done so yet.

2) UPCOMING EVENTS

Black and Light Ball - Black and Light Ball, our annual spring fundraiser (produced with Disorient) is this Saturday June 1st! Get your tickets! Volunteer to help setup! Come out at 6:00 PM for sunset on the roof, and stay for the party all night long! Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/events/540893555962560/

Figment - Stay tuned for information on how to volunteer with KK at Figment. People will be needed :-)

3) Communication - Everyone in our camp should be on this email list, the facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/475873862471524/) and be aware of the Wiki (http://wiki.kostumekult.com/index.php/KKBM13). The wiki is still being filled in, but it will be a good source of camp info as well as the place you will sign up for shifts (coming soon). Its SUPER important that you all stay aware of what is going on and what needs to be done. BM comes faster than you know it, and the success of our camp is dependent on everyone working well together. If we have to chase people, it wastes time that can be better spent on other things. Please read each and every email. Please be familiar with the wiki. Please sign up for things when asked, and offer opinions when there is a discussion. It shouldn't surprise anyone that it takes all you crazy fucks to cooperate in order to have a successful theme camp.

NOTE: BM Camp communication and discussion should be on the KKBM13 facebook and google group, and not on the regular DisKKuss list or the regular Kostume Kult facebook page.

4) PODs - Our camp is broken into Pods. This year we anticipate having between 5-7 pods. Basically, Pods are around 10-15 campers who camp together at Burning Man. Pods often pool resources on things like a camp stove, lights for the pod, pots, food, etc. Pods usually come up with a name for themselves and some sort However, the primary purpose of Pods is to create group shade structures. Shade structures are super important at Burning Man because the sun will quickly make your tent unbearable as soon as it rises in the morning. A hot tent makes sex less fun, and sleeping near impossible. You will wake up gasping for air, and not in the sexy way. A good shade structure will help you be able to sleep a little longer in the morning and will also help provide a place to sit and hang during the day. Some shade structures also have walls to help keep some of the dust out. Please start dividing yourselves into Pods. Approach the people who you think that you want to camp with. I will make sure that everyone has a pod, but the earlier we have this divided up, the more time you will all have to plan. NOTE: Please let me know as pods develop so that I can keep the Wiki updated and keep on top of all the camp planning.

5) Camping Plans - In order for us to be able to plan, we need to have the details of your plans. if you have not done so, please go to this link and fill the form out in its entirety (note - its a few pages): http://tinyurl.com/BM13info

6) Early Arrival and Breakdown - Early Arrival crew builds the camp infrastructure so that its ready when the gates open on Sunday night. Breakdown takes it all away and packs it up and makes sure that we are a green LNT camp. EVERY person who steps foot on playa before gates open needs an early arrival pass (as well as their ticket of course). We are limited in how many we get, and priority goes to people who arrive earlier. This year, there are three early arrival dates that you can choose from if you want to participate. For each date, you must arrive in reno and do any shopping needed there the day before so that you can be on playa by mid-day on the date you are slotted for. We plan on all eating a big breakfast together in reno on each of these days and then heading out as a pack (Think: PEGS GLORIFIED HAM N EGGS!!!!!)

The early arrival dates are: Monday Morning, August 19 Wednesday Morning, August 21 Friday Morning, August 23

Breakdown means that you stay until Monday night or Tuesday night (September 2-3). This is key work that really helps us a lot. PLEASE, if you can, do not book your flight out of reno to return any earlier than Wednesday. Many hands make the work go easy. And I will love you forever, and consider having your babies (but not paying for them).

7) NYC Container - There is a container camp that sends shipping containers our to BM. The containers are loaded in Jersey City, NJ a few weeks before the burn, are sitting on playa waiting for you to get your stuff out when you arrive, and then you pack your stuff back in at the end of BM and it comes back to NJ a few weeks after. The website is not updated yet with this years info, but it is here: http://www.nyccontainer.com/ You buy space by the cubic foot, so volume is what matters, not weight. Everything must be packed into sturdy bins and square/rectangle shapes are ideal because they will box out any irregular shaped items for their calculations. Space will go on sale usually in early July, and will sell out fast. Stay tuned!

8) Tickets - If you do not have a ticket yet, please sign up for STEP and please register for the last chance sale. In addition, please let me know and I will put you on my list for ticket purchases. IF YOU HAVE A TICKET FOR SALE, please let me know ASAP.

See you all soon! Snuggles and spanks!
